I've been writing on and off since I was 12. Most of it was throw away fantasy and horror and the strange imaginings of my primordial mind. I do still write fiction, but not as much as I used to.

By day I am a Desktop Support technician and technology consultant. By night I write articles about a great many topics since I've never been able to pin myself down to one area of life. Although I do love things like computers, technology, sailing, business, consulting. ocean conservation, exploring relationship issues and a few dozen other things, I find that I keep returning to the Ocean and it impact on all of our lives.

Science tells us that life itself began in the ocean and if you've spent any time walking along the shore staring into the vastness or sailing waves as high as buildings, it's not hard to comprehend how it could be true. Water gives us so much in terms of daily life it seems wasteful not to be aware of the impact we are having so that's why I'm a huge advocate of taking better care of our oceans and waterways.

The articles for Suite101 are in the nature of a professional growth experiment. For more personalized stuff you can check out my blog at Out of the Darkness I Rise.
